Duckee's Mission

/why

Less than 5% of women in China have regular pelvic check , and mostly becasue they are afraid of the unbearable pain causing by vaginal speculum during the procedure.

/How

This service design helps female patients in public hospitals get quick and ensuring preparation before the intimidating vaginal check and makes them not afraid to have a check -up anymore, which is important for their cervical health.

/User Journey

In public hospitals, the doctor is exhausted by the repetitive and tedious work and does not have time or energy to explain the procedure in detail to each person.

Not knowing the process and not seeing the process makes the patient extremely nervous.

/Problem Statement

In public hospitals, resources are limited and it is impossible for doctors to tell every patient about the vaginal speculum and help them relax.

Lack of preparation and understanding, many female patients feel nervous during pelvic exams, which can make the speculum painful and discourage future visits, affecting their health.

/Design Value

  • It improves the efficiency of gynecologic examinations in public hospitals

  • Women will be more willing to go for a pelvic exam every year to prevent cervical cancer.
